Greetings, everyone!
C-Servers is proud to be part of one of the greatest groups on the Internet – the group of hosting/technology companies that provide Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because, you know… there’s nothing like the original.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux is the top-tier operating system for servers, virtual machines and several applications on the Internet, or offline, where Linux is absolutely essential. Developed by Red Hat and dating back to the 90’s, it’s one of the biggest Linux distributions – one which has spun, over the years, several similar distributions like Mandrake, Mandriva, Miracle Linux (Japan-tailored), among others.
Currently, RHEL – let’s call it this way to simplify – is at the downstream of the CentOS’s Stream offer, also from Red Hat (and which we’ve also updated today to include Stream 10), while picking also on whichever-relevant Fedora bits and bolts. Furthermore, it is also the inspirational father of many Enterprise Linux distributions used by thousands of Linux users, like AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Tencent OpenCloud.
Multiple differences exist between the three of them but, arguably, RHEL is the most widely used experience, particularly on professional and corporate settings.
And now, starting from today, you can get a taste of what the pros use on their systems.
At C-Servers, the offer of RHEL-based images is done at our MultiVPS and VPS Outlet products, on the 8 Series (8.10) and 9 Series (9.5) flavors. These are immediately usable and widely available throughout the entirety of our plans since the company’s inception.
Bear in mind one particular, very relevant detail: these images are not meant to be run unlicensed. As it is widely known, Red Hat does require a valid entitlement/license to run RHEL and, particularly, to update it as well. Our images do not come with a license, and are given just like Windows Server images are provided, under a Bring Your Own License type of usage. Therefore, it is absolutely essential that you provide a license to your Red Hat system. This is very easily done through logging in to your account at Red Hat from our VPSes with the corresponding RHEL package usage (further details on their website), and subscribing to either a paid-for license, a 16-entitlement free Developer license if it best suits your use-case, or a trial of the operating system, also available at their own platform.
C-Servers is now part of the select group of hosters that provide the original – Red Hat Enterprise Linux. And believe me, we are proud of it.
